Modular Traction Tribometer

MTT 2.0

A modular ball on disc tester for measuring friction and wear properties of lubricants and materials under rolling-sliding conditions.

Built on the UniTest open platform, MTT 2.0 offers capabilities for fretting, surface imaging and electrified modules that go beyond the capabilities of the mini traction machine.
BOCLE 2.0

Modularity with capabilities beyond the MTM

Features

A compact and modular platform with interchangeable force sensor, options to configure traction, rotary, fretting drives and surface imaging offers unparalleled capabilities for accurate wear evaluation of next-gen lubricants and coatings.

Configurable motion modules

Easily configurable independent drives for rolling-sliding, fretting and linear reciprocation with separate environment modules for testing oils,  greases and corrosive fluids.

Multi-scale testing ready

Interchangeable multi-axis sensors allows testing of soft contacts,  bio-materials as well as harder materials, coatings used in bearing, gears and  railways.

Surface Imaging & Sensing

3D non-contact profilometer can be integrated to quantify ball/disc wear. Inline sensors such as ECR, acoustic emission and oscilloscope allows real-time monitoring of events.

Automated test sequence

A guided software interface with programmable Traction and Stribeck protocols allows rapid and error-proof testing of lubricants
