B2V2

The BioTribometer (B2V2) is a six-station tribological testing platform engineered to replicate the complex motion patterns required for realistic simulation of biomechanical and orthopaedic material wear. B2V2 complies with load and motion profiles as per ASTM F732 test standard.

The system is designed for long-duration, high-stability testing and its ultra-compact footprint is suitable for space-limited laboratories.

A powerful biomaterials test platform that can execute pre-configured ASTM and ISO motion and loading profiles and also fully custom profiles while sensing friction, temperature and more. It can be set up to apply a huge range of physiologically relevant test conditions for different joint implant materials.

High throughput testing

Six fully automated test stations for parallel sample testing with synchronized motion across all stations through a common drive system.

Multi-direction motion profiles

Motion profiles—including circle, square, line, lemniscate (figure-eight),U, and user-defined trajectories are fully programmable via the integrated touchscreen interface.

Programmable load profiles

Multi axis automated stage allows fixed load profiles as well as generation of physiological profiiles such as gait load cycle, etc.

Test environments

Choose from a selection of liquid holding cells, temperature controlled cells, fluid handlers for dispensing and extraction of synovial fluid  and more.

Compact, yet powerful

Ergonomic and optimized to conserve lab space. The six station has a low footprint and enables flexible placement in the laboratory workflow.

Automation and monitoring

The intuitive control software continuously displays test progress, and error indicators, allowing long-duration, unattended operation with confidence.
